A Matter of Fact or a State of Mind?

In school, I was taught that there are three states of matter: solid, liquid and gas.
Apparently, there are at least 14 states of matter:

1.                  Solid
2.                  Amorphous solid
3.                  Liquid
4.                  Gas
5.                  Plasma
6.                  Super-fluid
7.                  Supersolid
8.                  Degenerate matter
9.                  Neutronium
10.              Strongly symmetric matter
11.              Weakly symmetric matter
12.              Quark-gluon plasma fermionic condensate
13.              Bose-Einstein condensate
14.              Strange matter

My favorite is the Bose-Einstein condensate, which is essentially coherent atoms vibrating in unison.  In this state, the condensate follows quantum rules and individual atoms no longer exist - they all exist as one.

Bose-Einstein condensate as it relates to Buddhism:

Dr. Michio Kaku talks about Bose-Einstein Condensates:
