Medical Astrology

The premise behind Medical Astrology is that certain parts of the body are more prone to illness depending on your astrological sign (or natal chart).

It is believed that the signs of the zodiac preside over the parts of the body, covering the body from head (Aries) to toe (Pisces), as follows:

Aries - head, face, brain, eyes
Taurus - throat, neck, thyroid gland, vocal tract
Gemini - arms, lungs, shoulders, hands, nervous system, brain
Cancer - chest, breasts, stomach, alimentary canal
Leo - heart, chest, spine, spinal column, upper back
Virgo - digestive system, intestines, spleen, nervous system
Libra - kidneys, skin, lumbar region, buttocks
Scorpio - reproductive system, sexual organs, bowels, excretory system
Sagittarius - hips, thighs, liver, sciatic nerve
Capricorn - knees, joints, skeletal system
Aquarius - ankles, calves, circulatory system
Pisces - feet, toes, lymphatic system, adipose tissue

For example, a Taurus is predicted to have many sore throats and problems with the voice because of the Taurean association with that particular part of the body.

I believe the nature of our energy structure is geometrical and that our alignment energetically (in time and space) with our surroundings (including celestial objects) affects us in ways we do not yet fully understand.  I suspect that the alignment of planets when we are born, not only provides us with predictable daily horoscopes based on centuries of knowledge passed down, but also affects our energy body, and specifically the energy centers in our body, which are associated with the above physical parts.

As an example, the parts associated with Scorpios are also linked to the root chakra.  Perhaps, during the time of year Scorpios are born, the energetic alignment of our planet to other planets could result in  an interference or blockage from Source in the root chakra making Scorpions more susceptible to root chakra issues (not just physical).
