People are naturally skeptical of phenomena they do not understand and want proof before they will believe something. But, do you need proof that you love someone? How do you know if you love someone? Perhaps you feel connected to them, or you feel happy around them; however, can you prove to someone else that you love someone?
To me, believing in an energy body, other dimensions, and forces beyond what we are taught in school is akin to believing that someone loves you. You get signs that tell you that someone else truly loves you but there (currently) is no absolute, scientific measurement of love. Likewise, if you pay attention and know how and where to look, there are many signs that we have chakras and auras and that there are beings in other dimensions around us.
Why do so many people need proof that we have an energy body, or exist in other dimensions, but they do not need proof that they love someone? Personally, I think people can sense they love someone because people in their life are tangible - even though they cannot prove it. At the same time, I believe most people have not practiced using their intuition enough to trust that there is a spirit world, or that we are all connected energetically.
I think many people are missing out on a very important part of themselves and life by not developing their intuition. I imagine it is like what happens to those who do not love anyone because they do not believe in love - I think most people can relate to how tragic that generally is; however, not connecting to your higher self to me is even more of a loss.
