When my previous dog
died, that week, an icon on my computer at work, which was normally a picture of keys, changed to
a picture of a smiling, cartoon dog for three days and then changed back on its
own to a picture of keys.
I also heard him barking once in my mind when I was thinking of him at night (it was different than a neighbourhood dog bark) and he visited a close friend of mine at the time in a dream (playing in a green meadow).
As with all loved ones, their love helps them to communicate with us here (if we are open to communication) once they have passed over to let us know that they are at peace, and to help us find peace with their transition. If we are too emotional, we can create energy blocks and may not be open to communication. In my case, I believe that was why my friend had the dream about my dog instead of me.
Although we need to grieve our loved ones, know that they are at peace, they chose to be with you in this life, and we all chose when to leave this world before we are even born. As difficult as it may be, you need to let them go (accept their death) and move on for the both of you. They will always be with you and be a part of your heart - they may even communicate with you if you are open to it and pay attention.
