I was watching a TV show with a Neuroscientist who spoke about how advanced humans were because we have language. She said that language allows us to think and communicate in the abstract and talk about the past and future - unlike animals.
I disagree. I am not sure about all animals, but I do know many who can communicate telepathically using words, feelings, and images. Images, often as symbols, can contain a lot more information and have many more layers of meaning than words alone.
Human arrogance can be blinding - please try to keep an open mind.
